of my Final Major Project at university, this is a conceptual brief which revolves
around japanese vending machines. I mixed elements from japanese/western cultures
with the notion of collecting. The final piece was fully functional machine in
the degree show containing 200 gashapon toys, all hand made. Visitors were able
to buy a gashapon for £1, giving it a fun, interactive side. I also kept
a blog documenting research and progress over 12 weeks. | |
